Let’s get Crew Deep for a January birthday extravaganza in the forest!
The upper Smith Creek Village has the most old growth trees surrounding it in the 9000+ acre State Park, which is Oregon‘s largest park…. & as far as I’m concerned, one of the crown jewels of our state!
The deets:
takes about an hour and a half from Portland to SouthFalls District if you stopped to get gas. You’ll actually be turning right into the parking lot.

Aim to arrive at the South Falls parking lot at 1 PM
I will have free parking passes, and there is a restroom right by the entrance . Hopefully we can leave by 1:20 and we’re not waiting for ya.

The only place there is Wi-Fi in the Smith Creek Village is Bigleaf market and grill. There is an in-house barista and breakfast burritos for the morning….
Check in is 3pm
When you arrive in Smith Creek village, the check-in booth is to the left of the cul-de-sac with a red sign that says check in here. If you have reserved a cabin, your envelope will be here.
If you have not yet talked to me or Doherty then you should call me immediately... and I will hook you up with one of the last cabins or get your head in a bed!!!

We are gonna have some pizza oven action so bring toppings and deliciousness. Doherty has threatened to make a crockpot full of chili. Amy said she could make vegetarian chili as well…
There is a full-size fridge in the meeting halll & is a fire pit outside of the meeting hall. Multi stalled restrooms…Technically, park quiet hours 10 PM to 7 AM-and typically amplified music ends by 10-
we are going to do volume checks and we just have to be aware of our voices carrying…. But if it’s too loud, we’ll have to switch over to-Bluetooth speakers … just be aware, but I also want us to have a fucking awesome time… Just sayin‘

I can bring an extra large cooler for beverages-and it is going to be very cold outside- I know where there’s ice! Maybe bring your own party cup?
There will be trash and recycling, so please do your part! I’m not your mama and I will not clean up after you…

I could bring coloring pages for kiddos. There is some games inside of the meeting hall but I would encourage some parental supervision so game pieces are not exploded in every direction.
